Vegan dog??

Hello, as you know I am vegan! As you may not have known, my dog is not vegan. I have spent a very large amount of time researching veganism for dogs and have come to the conclusion that my dog, Mann, can thrive on a vegan diet. Since then I began slowly incorporating more vegan home-cooked meals in my babies diet. He seems to truly love it! It has more energy to run around the house like he lost ALL of his mind and he gobbles up the food pretty quickly. I have found that my dog does not like cucumbers, Granny Smith apples, or spinach and so far his favorite thing seems to be sweet peppers. This comes with a lot of trial and error to figure out what foods he likes and what foods he does not like. One of the things Mann does is if he doesn't like something he will pick it out of the food and put it on the ground. On one hand, I guess I should be grateful that he doesn't just decide not to eat any of the food but on the other hand now I have blackberry stains on my floor. So far he has a ton more energy, however, he is not fully vegan yet. I recently bought vegan dog food from Thrive Market but since he still has some of his old dog food I feed him that every other day. Once I no longer have any of that kibble left I will begin feeding him Halo vegan dog food as well as my homecooked dog food and be able to do a review of the Halo. Since my dog is obviously picky it will be interesting to see how it likes it and if he even eats it.

In addition to my eating vegan, I also shop vegan and cruelty-free and I am always looking to save a buck. I found an online shop called Brandless and I fell in love with them on sight. Everything was only 3 dollars so I was able to get vegan and cruelty-free, toothpaste, mouth wash,  body wash, hand soap, night cream, pet wipes, dog shampoo and conditioner, dog itch relief spray, snacks and more ALL VEGAN, ALL CRUELTY-FREE. However, I should warn you that everything at brandless is not vegan but everything is cruelty-free. I spend about $39 for everything pictured including the tissue. The tissue is made of bamboo instead of trees. I want to stay accountable for the health of my baby and not allow myself to get lazy so I have reactivated his Instagram account and will be posting pictures of his food, his supplements and so forth. On my blog, I will be reviewing the meals, the supplements and so forth. I hope you follow us on this journey and provide support and keep me accountable because cook for him and I is a hassle.

What Being a Black, Vegan, American Means To Me

I am a year old 18 born and raised African American. I am a sophomore at a university in Virginia and I am most definitely vegan. America is the land of the free and home of the home... at least that is what we are told. I see many brave men and women within America fighting for many different causes and in many different ways theoretically, they are "free" to do that. But what happens when people no longer feel free, what happens when people are scared of the very organizations that are supposed to protect us, what happens when people no longer just consider themselves as deserving of freedom?    Being black in America means being scared. It means never being free. Racism in America is something white people like to pretend does not exist unless it benefits them politically and many are racist and do not even know they are racist. If you are trying to figure out if you are racist, I am going to help you out. If you find yourself saying, thinking or doing any...
